Matcha cups originated in Japan as part of the tea ceremony. Actually the cup is called Chawan, and Matcha is the traditional tea.
These cups that I make are small- so you can drink a small amount while the rest of the tea/coffee keeps warm in the meantime in the teapot.
It is fired to 1200c/2192f degrees and it's safe to use in microwave/dishwasher/oven.
The glaze is food-safe and lead-free.
Each mug is made separately, wheel thrown.
